FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND AUDIT AMENDMENT BILL 2007 (Brought in by the Premier, the Honourable Paul Anthony Lennon) A BILL FOR An Act to amend the Financial Management and Audit Act 1990 Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows: 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Financial Management and Audit Amendment Act 2007. 2. Commencement This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3. Principal Act In this Act, the Financial Management and Audit Act 1990* is referred to as the Principal Act. *No. 28 of 1990 [Bill 3] 3

 


 

Financial Management and Audit Amendment Act 2007 Act No. of s. 4 4. Section 14 amended (Treasurer's expenditure control authority) Section 14(2) of the Principal Act is amended as follows: (a) by omitting from paragraph (d) "jointly." and substituting "jointly; or"; (b) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (d): (e) in the case of an appropriation for the Office of the Ombudsman, the Minister administering the Ombudsman Act 1978. 5. Schedule 2 amended (Special Appropriations to which this Act Applies) Schedule 2 to the Principal Act is amended by inserting after Appropriations from the Both the Clerk of the Public Account for the Legislative Council and the Legislature-General as Clerk of the House of referred to in an Assembly acting jointly Appropriation Act the following item: 4
