GOVERNMENT BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (REMOVE AGE LIMIT) AMENDMENT BILL 2004 (Brought in by Nicholas James McKim) A Bill for An Act to amend the Government Business Enterprises Act 1995 by removing the requirement that a Director as defined by the Act must be removed from that position should they attain the age of 72 years. Be it enacted by his Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with their advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows: Short Title 1. This Act may be cited as the Government Business Enterprises (Remove Age Limit ) Amendment Act 2004. Commencement 2. This Act commences on the day on which it is proclaimed. Principal Act 3. In this Act, the Government Business Enterprises Act 1995 is referred to as the Principal Act. Section 2 Schedule 5 Amended. 4. Delete subsection 2 (2) Section 8 Schedule 5 Amended 5. Delete subsection 8 (1) (i)
