PULP MILL ASSESSMENT REPEAL BILL 2008 (Brought in by Kim Dion Booth) A BILL FOR An Act to repeal the Pulp Mill Assessment Act 2007 (No. 4 of 2007) and to revoke the Pulp Mill Permit and any approval provisions. Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows: 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Pulp Mill Assessment Repeal Act 2008. 2. Commencement This Act commences on a day to be proclaimed. 3. Pulp Mill Permit Revoked The Pulp Mill Permit, as defined by the Pulp Mill Assessment Act 2007, is revoked, and all provisions relating to, and any approvals pursuant to, the Pulp Mill Permit are declared null and void. 4. Approval of Project Nullified The resolution pursuant to Section 7 (2) of the Pulp Mill Assessment Act 2007 that accepted the Pulp Mill Permit is nullified. 5. Legislation Repealed The Pulp Mill Assessment Act 2007 is repealed.
