PASSENGER TRANSPORT (TRANSITIONAL REGULATIONS VALIDATION) BILL (No. 2) 2002 (Brought in by the Minister for Infrastructure, the Honourable James Glennister Cox) A BILL FOR An Act to confirm the validity of certain transitional regulations made under the Passenger Transport Act 1997 Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows: Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Passenger Transport (Transitional Regulations Validation) Act 2002. Commencement 2. This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. Validation of Passenger Transport (Transitional) Regulations 2000 3. The regulations purportedly made under the Passenger Transport Act 1997 on 13 June 2000 and notified in the [Bill 57] 3

 


 

s. 4 No. Passenger Transport (Transitional 2002 Regulations Validation) (No. 2) Gazette of 21 June 2001 as Statutory Rules 2000, No. 66 are taken to have been validly made on 13 June 2000. Administration of Act 4. Until provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 - (a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Infrastructure; and (b) the department responsible to that Minister in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources. 4 Government Printer, Tasmania
