REPEAL OF RACING REGULATION REGULATIONS POSTPONEMENT BILL 2003 (Brought in by the Minister for Racing, Sport and Recreation, the Honourable Paul Anthony Lennon) A BILL FOR An Act to postpone the repeal of the Racing Regulation Regulations 1976 Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows: Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Repeal of Racing Regulation Regulations Postponement Act 2003. Commencement 2. This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. Postponement of repeal 3. (1) The repeal of the Racing Regulation Regulations 1976 that, but for this section, was to have been effected on 1 January 2004 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 is postponed until 1 January 2005. s. 4 No. Repeal of Racing Regulation 2003 Regulations Postponement (2) Subsection (1) does not apply so as to prevent the repeal of the Racing Regulation Regulations 1976 at any time before 1 January 2005. Administration of Act 4. Until provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 - (a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Racing, Sport and Recreation; and (b) the department responsible to that Minister in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources. 4 Government Printer, Tasmania
