SHOP TRADING HOURS AMENDMENT (BOXING DAY AND EASTER SUNDAY) BILL 2004 (Brought in by the Honourable Susan Lynette Smith) A BILL FOR An Act to amend the Shop Trading Hours Act 1984. Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows: Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Shop Trading Hours Amendment (Boxing Day and Easter Sunday) Act 2004. Commencement 2. This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. Principal Act 3. In this Act, the Shop Trading Hours Act 1984* is referred to as the Principal Act. *No. 61 of 1984. [Bill 89] 3

 


 

s. 4 No. Shop Trading Hours Amendment (Boxing 2004 Day and Easter Sunday) Section 5 amended (Certain shops prohibited from opening on certain occasions) 4. Section 5 of the Principal Act is amended as follows: By omitting paragraphs (b) and (c) of subsection (1) and substituting the following paragraphs: (b) on Boxing Day; or (c) on Good Friday; or (d) on Easter Sunday; or (e) before noon on Anzac Day. 4 Government Printer, Tasmania
