CONSOLIDATED FUND APPROPRIATION BILL (NO. 1) 2016 BILL 25 OF 2016

                               CLAUSE NOTES

             Consolidated Fund Appropriation Bill (No. 1) 2016


Clause 1   This clause provides for the Short title of the Act to be the Consolidated Fund
           Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2016. This title makes it clear that the Act relates
           to 2016-17.
Clause 2   This clause provides for the commencement of the Act from 1 July 2016. This
           commencement date facilitates the appropriation of the funds concerned for
           2016-17.
Clause 3   This clause provides for the appropriation of $3 960 194 000 out of the
           Consolidated Fund, to be applied for the services of the Government.

Clause 4   This clause applies the sum of $3 960 194 000 specified in Clause 3 for the
           purposes specified in Schedule 1.
Clause 5   This clause provides for the expiry of the Act on 30 June 2018.
