Repeal of Regulations Postponement Bill (No.2) 2009
CLAUSE NOTES
Clause 1 Short Title
Clause 2 Commencement
The Act will commence on the day it receives Royal Assent.
Clause 3 Postponement of repeals
Postpones the repeal of Regulations specified in Schedule 1 of the legislation
to 1 January 2011 but provides that they may still be rescinded at any time
prior.
Clause 4 Administration of the Act
The Minister for Primary Industries and Water will administer the Act through
the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment.
Clause 5 Expiry of Act
2 January 2011. As of that date it will cease to have any purpose.
Schedule 1
Lists the Regulations to which the Act applies and the dates at which they
would otherwise have expired:
· The Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use) Regulations
1996 (1 January 2010)
· The Workplace Health and Safety Regulations 1998 (1 January 2010)
· The Fair Trading (Code of Practice for Motor Vehicle Traders) Regulations
1996 (1 January 2010)
· The Wildlife Regulations 1999 (22 December 2009)
