CLAUSE NOTES
REPEAL OF REGULATIONS POSTPONEMENT BILL
2010
Clause 1: Short title and citation.
Clause 2: The Act commences on the Royal Assent.
Clause 3: The Clause provides that the regulations in the
Schedule to the Act that are due to be repealed
on the dates specified in the Schedule, are
postponed until 1 July 2012, but does not
prevent any of the regulations from being
repealed prior to that date.
Clause 4: The administration of the Act is assigned to the
Minister for Sustainable Transport and Alternative
Energy and the Department of Infrastructure, Energy
and Resources.
Clause 5: The Act is to expire on 2 July 2012.
Schedule 1: The schedule lists the regulations whose repeal
is to be postponed and the date on which their
repeal is currently to be effected.
