CLAUSE NOTES Statutory Appointments (Validation) Bill 2016 Clause 1: Short Title. Clause 2: Commencement date. Clause 3: Contains definitions of words and phrases used. Clause 4: Provides that appointments and decisions are not invalid simply because the person appointed to make the decision did not hold a relevant practising certificate. Further, provides that a relevant body is not invalidly constituted and decisions of the body are not invalid simply because the person by whom the body was constituted did not hold a relevant practising certificate. Clause 5: Provides the Act is to be administered by the Minister for Justice and the responsible department is the Department of Justice.
