(1) A person must not (a) take part in any war games; or(b) allow any war games to take place on his or her premises; or(c) cause any war games to be held; or(d) assist in the conduct of any war games; or(e) advertise or promote any war games.Penalty: Fine not exceeding 10 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months, or both.(2) The Commissioner may approve the conduct of war games for the purpose of (a) an historical re-enactment; or(b) a dramatic presentation; or(c) a film, video or television production.(3) In this section, war games means a simulated military exercise or similar activity in which a firearm is used or carried by a person.(4) This section does not apply to any exercise or activity undertaken for police, defence forces or other government training purposes or to the operation of a paintball business in accordance with Part 6A .
