An applicant whose genuine reason for possessing or using a firearm is primary production must (a) be a person who is regularly engaged (i) in the business of primary production on land owned, managed or leased by the person; or(ii) as an employee of such a person; and(b) produce evidence to the Commissioner's satisfaction that he or she intends to use the firearm solely in connection with (i) the suppression of vertebrate pest animals on the land; and(ii) the destruction of animals to avoid pain and suffering.
