(1) The Commissioner may cancel the registration of a firearm if the registrant (a) is no longer the holder of a licence in respect of that firearm; or(b) made a false or misleading statement in connection with the application for registration; or(c) is convicted of an offence under this Act or a prescribed offence; or(d) requests the cancellation.(2) The Commissioner is to cancel the registration of a firearm by notice in writing served on the registrant.(3) Cancellation of the registration of a firearm takes effect on the date on which the notice is served under subsection (2) .(4) If the registration of a firearm is cancelled, the person in whose name it was registered must immediately surrender it to a police officer.(5) A police officer may seize any firearm to which a cancelled registration relates.
