An Australian lawyer or person eligible for admission to the legal profession who is employed or engaged is taken to hold, for the purposes of this Act and for purposes of that employment or engagement, a practising certificate as a legal practitioner for the period during which the person is so employed or engaged.(a) under the State Service Act 2000 ; or(b) by a State, Territory or Commonwealth instrumentality; or(c) by a local council; or(d) in a State, Territory or Commonwealth statutory office
