(1)  The Board is to appoint a suitably qualified person as the executive officer of the Board and may appoint such other persons as it considers necessary.

(2)  The executive officer is to act as secretary to the Board.

(3)  The State Service Act 2000 does not apply to persons appointed by the Board.
