(1)  The Disciplinary Tribunal is established.

(2)  The Tribunal consists of –

(a) 10 Australian legal practitioners appointed by the judges from a panel of 15 Australian legal practitioners consisting of 4 legal practitioners nominated by the Tasmanian Bar and the balance to be nominated by the Law Society; and

(b) 5 lay persons appointed by the judges on the nomination of the Minister.

(3)  The judges are to appoint a chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Tribunal from the practitioner members of the Tribunal.

(4)  Schedule 6 has effect with respect to the membership of the Tribunal.
