(1) The Tribunal is to ensure that an authorisation of special psychiatric treatment specifies (a) the precise nature of the treatment; and(b) the number of times the treatment may be given; and(c) the person who (by name or office) may give the treatment; and(d) when the treatment may be given; and(e) any special requirements as to method, dosage, frequency, supervision, recovery or other relevant matters.(2) On authorising any special psychiatric treatment, the Tribunal is to ensure that (a) a copy of the authorisation is given to the patient before the treatment commences (together with, depending on the patient's status, a statement of rights in an approved form); and(b) a copy of the authorisation is given to the Chief Psychiatrist.
