MENTAL HEALTH ACT 2013 - SECT 143

Chapter 3 - Oversight and review PART 1 - Chief Psychiatrist Division 1 - Appointment Chief Psychiatrist

(1)  The Governor may appoint a person to be the Chief Psychiatrist.
(2)  The appointee must be a psychiatrist with at least 5 years' experience in practising psychiatry.
(3)  The office of Chief Psychiatrist may be held in conjunction with State Service employment.
(4)  The Chief Psychiatrist has a general overall responsibility, under and to the Minister, for ensuring that the objects of this Act are met.
