After section 73 of the Principal Act , the following section is inserted in Division 1:73A. Interim order on adjournment
(1) If the Board adjourns the hearing of an application under this Act, the Board may, in respect of a person who is not a represented person but in respect of whom the Board considers that there may be grounds for making a guardianship order or an administration order, make an interim order appointing and in either case the Board may make any order or give any direction it considers appropriate in the circumstances.(a) the Public Guardian as his or her guardian; or(b) The Public Trustee as administrator of his or her estate (2) An interim order has effect for the period of the adjournment and any subsequent adjournment.(3) This section does not prevent the Board from varying or revoking an interim order or from making a further interim order on any subsequent adjournment.
