ROAD AMENDMENT RULES (NO. 2) 2014 (S.R. 2014, NO. 136) - REG 12

Rule 197 amended (Stopping on a path, dividing strip, nature strip, painted island or traffic island)

Rule 197 of the Principal Rules is amended as follows:
(a) by inserting the following subrule after subrule (1A) :

(1B) A driver must not stop on a traffic island.

Penalty: Fine not exceeding 5 penalty units.
Note : Traffic island is defined in the dictionary.
(b) by omitting from subrule (2) " Subrule (1) does" and substituting " Subrules (1) and (1B) do" .
