PARLIAMENT OF VICTORIA Introduced in the Assembly Crimes Amendment (Repeal of Section 19A) Bill 2015 A Bill for an Act to repeal section 19A of the Crimes Act 1958 and for other purposes. The Parliament of Victoria enacts: 1 Purpose The purpose of this Act is to repeal section 19A of the Crimes Act 1958. 2 Commencement 5 This Act comes into operation on the day after the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. 3 Section 19A repealed Section 19A of the Crimes Act 1958 is repealed. 4 Consequential amendments to Sentencing Act 1991 10 (1) Clause 2(c)(iii) of Schedule 1 to the Sentencing Act 1991 is repealed. 581002B.I-13/4/2015 1 BILL LA INTRODUCTION 14/4/2015

 


 

Crimes Amendment (Repeal of Section 19A) Bill 2015 (2) After clause 2(d) of Schedule 1 to the Sentencing Act 1991 insert-- "(da) an offence against section 19A (intentionally causing a very serious disease) of the 5 Crimes Act 1958 repealed by section 3 of the Crimes Amendment (Repeal of Section 19A) Act 2015;". (3) Clause 3(b)(ii) of Schedule 1 to the Sentencing Act 1991 is repealed. 10 (4) After clause 3(c) of Schedule 1 to the Sentencing Act 1991 insert-- "(ca) an offence against section 19A (intentionally causing a very serious disease) of the Crimes Act 1958 repealed by section 3 of 15 the Crimes Amendment (Repeal of Section 19A) Act 2015;". (5) In clause 3(d) of Schedule 1 to the Sentencing Act 1991, for "(c)" substitute "(ca)". 5 Repeal of amending Act 20 This Act is repealed on the first anniversary of its commencement.
