Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current ActsA person must not possess or carry a part of a firearm that is capable of being used to alter the category of a firearm in the person's possession, carriage or use so that the firearm becomes a different category of firearm to that which the person is authorised to possess, carry or use under his or her licence—
(a) without lawful excuse; or
(b) unless before doing so, the person obtains the consent of the Chief Commissioner.
Penalty: 30 penalty units.
