Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current Acts(1) The Victorian Legal Services Board may appoint a person to act in the place of a member who is absent or who, for any other reason, is unable to perform the duties of the office.
(2) An acting appointment is for the term (not exceeding the balance of the member's term) determined by the Victorian Legal Services Board.
(3) A person appointed under subsection (1) is eligible for reappointment.
(4) A person appointed under subsection (1) has all the powers and may perform all the duties of the member for whom he or she is acting.
(5) The Victorian Legal Services Board may terminate an acting appointment at any time.
