LEGAL PROFESSION UNIFORM LAW APPLICATION ACT 2014 - SECT 96

Disallowance by Parliament and application of Subordinate Legislation Act 1994

    (1)     A practitioner remuneration order is subject to disallowance by the Parliament.

    (2)     Sections 16B and 16C and Part 5A of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 applies to a practitioner remuneration order as if—

        (a)     the order were a legislative instrument; and

        (b)     on the day that a copy of the order is given to the Attorney General under section 95(1), the order were published in the Government Gazette under section 16A(1) of that Act.

    (3)     For the purposes of section 16B(1) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 , the Attorney-General must cause a copy of the practitioner remuneration order to be laid before each house of the Parliament.
