ROAD MANAGEMENT ACT 2004 - SECT 44

Specific traffic management powers of State road authorities

    (1)     Subject to the Road Safety Act 1986 and any regulations made under that Act, but without limiting any other powers of a State road authority, the powers include the specific traffic management powers set out in Schedule 4.

    (2)     Schedule 4 has effect.

Example

A State road authority, other than the Head, Transport for Victoria, must obtain the consent of the Head, Transport for Victoria before exercising a power under Schedule 4 which if exercised under a regulation made under the Road Safety Act 1986 in respect of a major traffic control device would require the consent of the Head, Transport for Victoria.
