Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current Acts(1) Despite section 192(1), it is not necessary for a special constable appointed during the period in which a declaration under this Division is in force to take an oath or make an affirmation before acting in the office of special constable.
(2) However, a special constable appointed during the period in which a declaration under this Division is in force must take and subscribe an oath or make and subscribe an affirmation in accordance with section 192 as soon as practicable after his or her appointment.
