Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current Acts(1) For the purposes of serving a defence referred to in section 75(2) or 76(3), if, apart from this section, the State would be required to serve the defence within a specified period other than 60 days, that requirement is to apply as if the specified period were 60 days.
(2) Despite subsection (1), the court in which the police tort claim is made may extend the time by which the State is required to serve its defence.
