WATER ACT 1989 - SECT 291F

    (1)     Before executing a search warrant issued under section 291E, the authorised water officer executing the warrant—

        (a)     must announce that he or she is authorised by the warrant to enter the land; and

        (b)     must give any person on the land an opportunity to allow entry to the land.

    (2)     The officer need not comply with subsection (1) if he or she believes on reasonable grounds that immediate entry to the land is required to ensure—

        (a)     the safety of any person; or

        (b)     that the effective execution of the warrant is not frustrated.
