WORKPLACE INJURY REHABILITATION AND COMPENSATION ACT 2013 - SECT 289

Costs of reports by registered health practitioners

    (1)     The Authority or a self-insurer must pay the reasonable costs of a report provided by a registered health practitioner who has examined a worker if—

S. 289(1)(a) amended by No. 73/2016 s. 21(2).

        (a)     the report has been requested by ACCS; and

        (b)     the worker has consented to a report being provided.

    (2)     In this section, "registered health practitioner" means any of the following—

        (a)     medical practitioner;

        (b)     registered dentist;

        (c)     registered optometrist;

        (d)     registered physiotherapist;

        (e)     registered chiropractor;

        (f)     registered osteopath;

        (g)     registered podiatrist;

        (h)     registered psychologist.
