GUARDIANSHIP AND ADMINISTRATION ACT 2019 (NO. 13 OF 2019) - SECT 104

VCAT must commence to hear an application for an administration (missing person) order within 30 days after the day on which the application is received by VCAT unless VCAT or the principal registrar under Division 5 of Part 4 of the VCAT Act—

        (a)     requires the parties to attend a compulsory conference in relation to the application; or

        (b)     refers the proceeding in relation to the application, or any part of it, for mediation.
