Victorian Numbered Acts Victorian Numbered Acts(1) If a person attempts to give, amend or revoke an advance care directive in a form that is not in accordance with this Part, the document does not take effect as an advance care directive or amendment or revocation of an advance care directive, as the case may be, unless VCAT makes an order referred to in section 22(2)(b)(ii).
(2) A document referred to in subsection (1) may nevertheless constitute a statement of the person's preferences and values that may be taken into account by a medical treatment decision maker, a health practitioner or the Public Advocate.
