RETAIL LEASES AMENDMENT ACT 2020 (NO. 26 OF 2020) - SECT 4

    (1)     In section 3 of the Retail Leases Act 2003 insert the following definition—

""essential safety measure" has the same meaning as in the Building Regulations 2018 or any subsequent corresponding regulations;

    (2)     In section 3 of the Retail Leases Act 2003 , in paragraph (a) of the definition of "outgoings", after "expenses" insert "(including the cost, or part of the cost, of repairs or maintenance work in respect of an essential safety measure or an installation referred to in section 41(2)(b)(ii))".
