(1) If a certificate of final inspection is issued for building work in respect of which there is a requirement under these Regulations or any previous corresponding regulations that the transmission signal of an alarm be connected to a fire station or other approved monitoring service, the relevant building surveyor must notify the chief officer within 10 days after the issue of the certificate that—
(a) the certificate has been issued; and
(b) the required connection has been made.
(2) If a certificate of final inspection is issued
for building work for which an occupancy permit is not required and the chief
officer was a reporting authority in respect of the application for the
relevant building permit, the relevant building surveyor must notify the chief
officer within 10 days after the issue of the certificate that the
certificate has been issued.
