FISHERIES REGULATIONS 2009 (SR NO 2 OF 2009) - REG 93

Offence to possess certain fish other than whole or in the form of a carcass

r. 93

    (1)     A person must not in or on Victorian waters possess shark or elephantfish in any form other than whole or in the form of a carcass.

Penalty:     20 penalty units.

    (2)     Subregulation (1) does not apply to a holder of a fishing concession authorising the possession of shark or elephantfish issued under the Commonwealth Act.

    (3)     A person must not in, on or next to inland waters, possess any spiny freshwater crayfish in any form other than whole or in the form of a carcass.

Penalty:     20 penalty units.

    (4)     A person must not, in or on Victorian waters, possess any snapper, King George whiting or black bream in any form other than whole or in the form of a carcass.

Penalty:     20 penalty units.

    (5)     A person must not in, on or next to inland waters, possess any freshwater catfish, golden perch, Macquarie perch, Murray cod, silver perch or salmonids in any form other than whole or in the form of a carcass.

Penalty:     20 penalty units.
