TRANSPORT (TICKETING AND CONDUCT) REGULATIONS 2005 (SR NO 69 OF 2005) - REG 23

r. 22

    (1)     A person must not take an animal onto or into a rail vehicle, road vehicle or rail premises unless the animal is in a closed container.

Penalty:     5 penalty units.

    (2)     A person must not take an animal onto a rail vehicle operated by V/Line Passenger Corporation unless—

        (a)     the animal is in a goods van on a locomotive hauled service; and

        (b)     is in a closed container.

Penalty:     5 penalty units.

    (3)     A person in possession of an animal on a rail vehicle, road vehicle or rail premises must remove any matter emanating from the animal or from the container if the animal is in a container.

Penalty:     5 penalty units.

    (4)     Nothing in this regulation applies to     a dog.
