TRANSPORT (TICKETING AND CONDUCT) REGULATIONS 2005 (SR NO 69 OF 2005) - REG 7

Defaced ticket or concession card

A person must not, without reasonable excuse, use or tender to an authorised person—

        (a)     a ticket—

              (i)     that has been altered, defaced, mutilated or made illegible in any material particular; or

              (ii)     in or on which information stored in a magnetic stripe or electronic chip has been altered or destroyed or made inaccessible, in any material particular; or

        (b)     a travel concession card that has been altered, defaced, mutilated or made illegible in any material particular.

Penalty:     10 penalty units.
