Constitution and functions of Board

163. Constitution and functions of Board



(1) The Commission must have a Board consisting of the following members-

   (a)  the Commissioner; and

   (b)  either 4 or 6 other members appointed by the Governor in Council on
        the recommendation of the Minister.

(2) The Board is responsible for-

   (a)  determining the Commission's strategic direction and the general
        nature of activities to be undertaken by the Commission in performing
        its functions; and

   (b)  setting policies, priorities and strategies for the Commission in
        performing its functions.

(3) The Board has any other functions conferred on it by or under this or any
other Act.

(4) The Board has all the powers necessary to enable it to perform its
functions.
