Health Act 1958 - SECT 366C

Registration of premises

366C. Registration of premises



(1) A person conducting a business of-

   (a)  hairdressing; or

   (b)  a beauty parlour or other similar business; or

   (c)  tattooing, ear piercing, acupuncture or any other process involving
        the penetration of the skin in a living human being-

must register with the council any premises upon which that person conducts
that business.

(2) A person is exempt from compliance with subsection (1)-



   (a)  if the person is registered as an acupuncturist under the
        Health Professions Registration Act 2005 or has their registration
        endorsed under section 28 of that Act with respect to the practice of
        acupuncture; or



   (b)  if the person conducts a business which is prescribed by the
        regulations as an exempt business.
