Powers and duties of Secretary or council

372. Powers and duties of Secretary or council

Before granting any registration or renewal of the registration of any
premises the Secretary or the council (as the case may be)-

   (a)  may cause an inspection of the premises to be made; and

   (b)  may require any alterations or improvements to be made therein to
        comply with this Act; but may grant the registration or renewal
        temporarily on condition that the requirements are complied with.
