Nuisances on unoccupied land47C. Nuisances on unoccupied land (1) Where any nuisance exists on or emanates from unoccupied land the owner of which is unknown to the council, the council may- (a) enter and take steps to abate the nuisance; and (b) do all things necessary for that abatement- whether the land is wholly or partly in the municipal district of the council. (2) If a council is abating a nuisance under subsection (1), another council is not competent to abate that nuisance.
