Application of Act

5. Application of Act



(1) Save as otherwise expressly provided this Act shall apply to every
municipal district:

Provided that the Governor in Council may by proclamation exempt from the
operation of any specified provisions of this Act any municipal district or
part thereof for any period.

(2) All or any of the provisions of this Act may be extended by proclamation
to any place not situate in a municipal district; and in every such case the
Secretary shall have and may exercise in respect of such place all the powers
duties and authorities of councils and of the Secretary.

(3) The Governor in Council may make regulations for carrying into effect the
purposes of this section.
