Commencement

2. Commencement



(1) This Part (except section 5) comes into operation on the day on which this
Act receives the Royal Assent.

(2) Section 170 is deemed to have come into operation on 1 July 1988.

(3) The remaining provisions of this Act come into operation on a day or days
to be proclaimed.

(4) If a provision referred to in subsection (3) does not come into operation
before 1 January 1998, it comes into operation on that day.
