1. General Information
The Occupational Health and Safety (Certification of Plant Users and Operators) Regulations 1994, S.R. No. 108/1994, were made on 26 July 1994 by the Governor in Council under section 59 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1985, No. 10190/1985 and came into operation on 1 July 1995: regulation 3 (as amended by S.R. No. 83/1995 regulation 5).
The Occupational Health and Safety (Certification of Plant Users and Operators) Regulations 1994 will sunset on 25 July 2005: see the Subordinate Legislation (Occupational Health and Safety (Certification of Plant Users and Operators) Regulations 1994 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2004, S. R. No. 93/2004.

9 Reg. 6 def. of "forest produce": At the date of this publication the definition of "forest produce" contained in section 3 of the Forests Act 1958, No. 6254/1958 reads as follows:
	3.	Definitions
"forest produce" where used in reference to or in connexion with or as to anything in any reserved forest includes the following things namely: Stone gravel limestone lime salt sand loam clay brick earth trees timber branchwood firewood chips sawdust plants grass creepers fibres leaves blossom flowers ferns grass-trees fruit seeds roots bark bulbs galls gum kino resin sap charcoal honey or beeswax or oil distilled from any species of eucalyptus or from any other tree or plant but does not include any gold or silver or metal or mineral.
