A Bill for
An Act to amend the Child Support (Adoption of Laws) Act 1990.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

s. 1
1 1. Short title
2 This is the Child Support (Adoption of Laws) Amendment
3 Act 2015.
4 2. Commencement
5 This Act comes into operation as follows --
6 (a) sections 1 and 2 -- on the day on which this Act
7 receives the Royal Assent;
8 (b) the rest of the Act -- on the day after that day.
9 3. Act amended
10 This Act amends the Child Support (Adoption of Laws)
11 Act 1990.
12 4. Section 3 amended
13 In section 3(a) delete "1 July 2014; and" and insert:

15 1 July 2015; and

17 Note: The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that the adoption by
18 Western Australia of the Child Support (Registration and Collection)
19 Act 1988 (Commonwealth) extends to that Act as amended --
20 (a) on 25 February 2015 by the Treasury Legislation Amendment
21 (Repeal Day) Act 2015; and
22 (b) on 1 July 2015 by the Tribunals Amalgamation Act 2015.

6 Note: The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that the adoption by
7 Western Australia of the Child Support (Assessment) Act 1989
8 (Commonwealth) extends to that Act as amended --
9 (a) on 25 February 2015 by the Treasury Legislation Amendment
10 (Repeal Day) Act 2015; and
11 (b) on 1 July 2015 by the Tribunals Amalgamation Act 2015.
