An Act to amend the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery
Act 2007.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

1 1. Short title
2 This is the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery
3 Amendment (Container Deposit) Act (No. 2) 2018.
4 2. Commencement
5 This Act comes into operation as follows --
6 (a) sections 1 and 2 -- on the day on which this Act
7 receives the Royal Assent;
8 (b) the rest of the Act -- when the Waste Avoidance and
9 Resource Recovery Amendment (Container Deposit)
10 Act 2018 section 6 comes into operation.
11 3. Act amended
12 This Act amends the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery
13 Act 2007.
14 4. Section 47ZZJ inserted
15 After section 47ZZI insert:

17 47ZZJ. Imposition of tax
18 To the extent that this Part, or regulations made under
19 or for the purposes of this Part, provide for a tax, the
20 tax is imposed.
