(1) An Order in
Council declaring an area to be a protected area may subsequently be varied or
revoked if the Governor, after consultation with the Committee, or after
considering a recommendation of the Minister under section 21 is satisfied
that it is in the general interest of the community so to do, but not
otherwise.
(2) An Order in
Council under subsection (1) varying or revoking the declaration of a
protected area shall be published in the Gazette and section 42 of the
Interpretation Act 1984 shall apply to and in relation to the Order in Council
as if it were a regulation.
