(1) Where the Minister
is of the opinion that it would be in the general interest of the community to
acquire any object to which this Act applies the Minister may give notice to
the person owning, or apparently having the custody and control of, that
object of his desire to acquire that object at a price therein specified.
(2) A notice given by
the Minister under the provisions of subsection (1) has effect as though it
were the reply to an offer for sale made to the Minister by the person to whom
the notice was given in relation to an object classified as Aboriginal
cultural material pursuant to section 43 and any dispute as to what
constitutes a reasonable price shall be determined by the State Administrative
Tribunal in accordance with the provisions of that section.
