(1) An application may
be lodged with the Commissioner in the approved form for the incorporation of
an association (the new body ) that is an amalgamation of 2 or more existing
incorporated associations.
(2) The application
must be made by a person duly authorised to do so by each of the existing
associations.
(3) An application
cannot be made if the proposed amalgamation is inconsistent with the rules of
any of the existing associations.
(4) An application
cannot be made unless —
(a) the
terms of amalgamation; and
(b) the
name and the objects or purposes of the new body; and
(c) the
rules of the new body,
have been approved by
a special resolution of each of the existing incorporated associations
concerned.
