(1) Without limiting
section 35, an incorporated association must —
(a) at
the request of a member of the association, give to the member a copy of the
association’s rules, or of any particular part of those rules to which
the request relates, as in force at the time of the request; and
(b) give
to each person who becomes a member of the association a copy of the
association’s rules as in force when the membership commences.
Penalty: a fine of $2 750.
(2) An incorporated
association must not make a charge for taking any action that it is required
to take under this section.
(3) The regulations
may make provision for the manner in which a copy of an incorporated
association’s rules or of any part of those rules may be, or must be,
given under this section.
