(1) A local government
may give a cat control notice to a person who is the owner of a cat ordinarily
kept in its district.
(2) A cat control
notice is to —
(a) be
in the form prescribed; and
(b)
identify the cat or cats in respect of which the notice is given and indicate
where the cat or cats are, or are suspected to be; and
(c)
direct the person to whom the notice is given to comply with a provision of
this Act, the regulations or a local law in respect of the cat or cats; and
(d)
specify the period within which the person to whom it is given is to comply
with the notice.
